Hand Spinning
This is my other Great Wheel, it's a Gallagher Tools Wheel built in
Santa Cruz California in the 1970's. It has a direct drive head and
is very sweet to spin on. As I have stated before, my favorite
wheels to spin on are the Great Wheels and other spindle wheels.
Spinning on these spindle wheels will help to refine your spinning
technique to spin a finer more consistent yarn.

I find that spinning on a Walking Wheel, you will develop a rhythm
that is very calming and relaxing. I enjoy the walking back and
forth, it is also wonderful to stand up to spin. Then I will sit and
spin at a treadle wheel for a while, I will alternate between the two
wheels and will be able to spin longer with out feeling tired or
fatigued by sitting or standing to long.
